Taxonomy

Cervicatinius was named by Tan and Ren (2007). Its type is Cervicatinius complanus.

It was assigned to Catiniidae by Tan and Ren (2007) and Tan and Ren (2009); to Cleroidea by Kirejtshuk (2017); and to Lophocateridae by Yu et al. (2020).

C. complanus (type species), Sinopeltis amoena, Sinopeltis jurassica

Synonyms

Sinopeltis was named by Yu et al. (2012). Its type is Sinopeltis jurassica.

It was synonymized subjectively with Cervicatinius by Kirejtshuk (2017).

It was assigned to Peltinae by Yu et al. (2012) and Kolibáč (2013).
