Myrmicium schroeteri

Sphinx schroeteri was named by Germar (1839). It is an impression. Its type locality is Solnhofen (Schröter collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Rhipidorhabdus schroeteri by Oppenheim (1885) and Meunier (1897); it was recombined as Pseudosirex schroeteri by Deichmüller (1886), Haase (1890), Handlirsch (1906) and Carpenter (1932); it was recombined as Myrmicium schroeteri by Maa (1949) and Ponomarenko (1985).
