Taxonomy
Herbstiala herbsti was named by Schmidt (1952). It is an impression. Its type locality is Sophia Jacoba pit, 600 m depth, Seam 16 west hanging wall, which is in a Westphalian A terrestrial siliciclastic in Germany. It is the type species of Herbstiala.
