Taxonomy
Cladiscites martini was named by Smith (1927). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 9385, northeast of Nation River mouth, which is in a Longobardian carbonate limestone in Alaska.

It was recombined as Sphaerocladiscites martini by Gamsjäger (1982) and Tozer (1994).
