It was reranked as the subfamily Goniacerinae by Newton and Chandler (1989).

It was assigned to Pselaphidae by Newton and Chandler (1989); and to Pselaphinae by Bouchard et al. (2011), Parker (2016), Yin et al. (2017), Yin et al. (2019), Yin et al. (2021) and Yin and Cai (2021).
