Kleidionella was named by Canu and Bassler (1917) [Sepkoski's age data: K Sn T Ol-l Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant.
It was assigned to Celleporidae by Bassler (1953) and Cheetham (1962); to Cheilostomata by Sepkoski (2002); and to Lepraliellidae by Bock (2006).
