Taxonomy
Ceratites normalis was named by Waagen (1895). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nanga, lower Ceratite Sandstone, Salt Range, which is in a Smithian marine sandstone in the Ceratite Sandstone Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Pseudoceltites normalis by Brühwiler and Bucher (2012).
