Clypeoceras superbum

Taxonomy
Aspidites superbus was named by Waagen (1895). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chidroo, probably upper Ceratite Sandstone, Salt Range, which is in a Smithian marine sandstone in the Ceratite Sandstone Formation of Pakistan. It is the type species of Clypeoceras.

It was recombined as Clypeoceras superbum by Smith (1913), Spath (1934) and Brühwiler and Bucher (2012).
