Taxonomy
Prioriphora cheburashka was named by Mostovski (1999). Its type specimen is PIN 3730/25, an exoskeleton (male fly), and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Taimyr amber, Baikura-Neru Gulf (PIN Collection 3730), which is in an Albian/Cenomanian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
