Taxonomy
Rhizodopsis robusta was named by Woodward (1891). Its type specimen is BMNH P.4587 (scale) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Glatz, Silesia (BMNH), which is in a Moscovian terrestrial horizon in Poland.
