Olivierosuchus parringtoni
Taxonomy
Olivieria parringtoni was named by Brink (1965). Its type specimen is BPI 379, a partial skeleton (Complete skull and anterior portion of a skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is New Castle of the Admiralty Estates farm, Field No. 3849 (Beaufort Grp.), which is in an Induan/Olenekian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Normandien Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Olivieria, Olivierosuchus.
It was recombined as Olivierosuchus parringtoni by Kammerer and Sidor (2002).
