Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
A. S. Gale 2011Asteriidae in which the arm is made up of rows (1 radial, 2 adradial, 2 superomarginal, 2 inferomarginal). Quadriradiate marginals and abactinals are distinctively constructed of coarse anastomosing trabeculae, and a single large sub-central spine base is present on all but the adradial ossicle rows. The sculpture distinguishes Savignasterias from all other asteriids.
