Taxonomy
Palaeomymar succini was named by Meunier (1901). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was synonymized subjectively with Palaeomymar duisburgi by Spahr (1987).
