Taxonomy
Palaeomymar japonicum was named by Fursov et al. (2002). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Kuji amber, which is in a Coniacian/Santonian terrestrial amber in Japan.
It was recombined as Archaeromma japonicum by Gibson et al. (2007).
