Taxonomy
Pterostichus fernquisti was named by Wickham (1931). Its type specimen is MCZ 2944, an elytra, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Deep Creek Canyon, which is in a Langhian lacustrine - small mudstone in the Latah Formation of Washington.
