Culicoides brodzinskyi
Taxonomy
Culicoides (Oecacta) brodzinskyi was named by Szadziewski and Grogan (1998). Its type specimen is AMNH WDR-50, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (AMNH coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
It was recombined as Culicoides brodzinskyi by Borkent (2013), Szadziewski (2018) and Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
