Taxonomy
Lamanskya was named by Moberg and Segerburg (1906) [Sepkoski's age data: O Trem-u O Aren-u Sepkoski's reference number: 950]. Its type is Lamanskya splendens.

It was assigned to Elkaniidae by Puura and Holmer (1993), Holmer (1993) and Williams et al. (2000); and to Lingulida by Sepkoski (2002).
