Taxonomy
Lingulellotreta was named by Koneva (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Boto-l Cm Tojo Sepkoski's reference number: 881,1066]. It is the type genus of Lingulellotretidae.

It was assigned to Lingulellotretidae by Holmer et al. (1997) and Williams et al. (2000); and to Lingulida by Sepkoski (2002).
