Junior homonym of Bucklandia Sternb. (Vers. Fl. Vorwelt 1 (Tentamen): xxxiii. Sep 1825), which is proposed to reject (vide Doweld in Taxon 61: 1131-1132. 2012).

Taxonomy
Bucklandia was named by Brongniart (1828). Its type is Bucklandia bucklandii.

It was assigned to Cycadeoideales by Doweld (2012).
