Taxonomy
Eudesia cardioides was named by Douvillé (1916). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gebel Aroussieh (Anabacia), which is in a Bathonian marine horizon in Egypt.

It was recombined as Eudesia (Sphriganaria) cardioides by Alméras et al. (2010).
