Aethocephalichthys hyainarhinos
Taxonomy
Aethocephalichthys hyainarhinos was named by Fielitz et al. (1999). Its type specimen is USNM 293321, an other (neurocranium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS M 31555, which is in a Santonian marine sandstone in the Eutaw Formation of Mississippi. It is the type species of Aethocephalichthys.
