Tunisiglossa was named by Massa et al. (1977) [Sepkoski's age data: O Trem Sepkoski's reference number: 538]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Lingulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Glossellinae by Williams et al. (2000) and Popov et al. (2007).
