Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
V. Barreda and S. Palamarczuk 2000Pollen grain free, isopolar, tetra- or pentacolporate, suboblate to subspherical. Amb circular to subcircular, sides convex, oval in equatorial view. Colpi long, extending for about 2/3 of the polar diameter, margins straight and slightly thickened. Ora small, circular, 1.5-1.7 µm in diameter, poorly defined, with difuse margins. Exine stratification distinct. Nexine thin, 0.5-0.6 µm thick, increasing in thickness to 1-1.2 µm along colpi. Sexine columellate, 0.7-1.1 µm thick in mesocolpia, thinning gradually towards apertures. Sexine inframicroreticulate and suprastriate. Lumina small, about 0.1 µm in diameter, not always discernible. Surface finely striate, striae 0.1 µm wide, generally parallel to each other.
