Sirenites homfrayi
Taxonomy
Ammonites homfrayi was named by Gabb (1864). Its type specimen is ANSP 30793 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East Range, Humboldt (Homfray coll), which is in a Julian marine limestone in the Augusta Mountain Formation of Nevada.
It was recombined as Sirenites homfrayi by Silberling and Nichols (1982).
