Taxonomy
Danubites halli was named by Mojsisovics (1896). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is North fork of Buena Vista Canon, West Humboldt Range, which is in a Bithynian carbonate limestone in Nevada.

It was recombined as Celtites halli by Hyatt and Smith (1905); it was recombined as Tropigastrites halli by Smith (1914); it was recombined as Pseudodanubites halli by Silberling and Nichols (1982) and Ji and Bucher (2018).
