Taxonomy
Polyanka minuta was named by Krzemińska et al. (1993). Its type specimen is PIN 2904/1339, an exoskeleton (female), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2904), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Polyanka.
