Taxonomy
Meekoceras magnumbilicatum was named by Waagen (1895). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Chidroo, Stachella beds, Salt Range, which is in a Smithian marine horizon in the Ceratite Sandstone Formation of Pakistan.
It was recombined as Paranorites magnumbilicatum by Spath (1934).
