Tomistoma calaritanum
Taxonomy
Tomistoma calaritanus was named by Capellini (1890). Its type specimen is MGGC 148, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Is Miriones, which is in a Tortonian/Messinian carbonate limestone in the Calcari di Cagliari Formation of Italy.
