Taxonomy
Hollandites asseretoi was named by Fantini Sestini (1988). Its type specimen is MPUM 6108 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is T163, Section VI, Gebze area, which is in a Bithynian carbonate limestone in Turkey.
