Taxonomy
Parasturia acutata was named by Shevyrev (1995). Its type specimen is PIN 1477/634 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bugunzha River, left bank, Bugunzhites-Parasturia beds, which is in a Longobardian marine carbonate in the Babuk Formation of the Russian Federation.
