Hydrochara noachica
Taxonomy
Hydrophilus noachicus was named by Heer (1847). Its type specimen is ETHZ NO-Z51.3-39-4:4-Pl.I147b, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Oeningen (Lavater'schen collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Hydrochara noachica by Fikáček and Schmied (2013).
