Taxonomy
Holcolytoceras raui was named by Wiedmann (1970). Its type specimen is GPIT Ce 1373/4, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ofterdingen, ibex zone (Rau collection), which is in an Ibex marine horizon in Germany.
