Taxonomy
Tsvetkovites varius was named by Weitschat and Lehmann (1983). Its type specimen is SGPIHM 2815 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is East side of Sauriedalen, Dickson Land, which is in a Fassanian marine shale in the Botneheia Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen.
