Triassicidaris peruviensis

Taxonomy
Triassicidaris peruviensis was named by Smith (1994). Its type specimen is USNM 398514, a partial shell (interambulacral segments), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 85-HN-13, Huanincocha, which is in an Alaunian/Sevatian shallow subtidal grainstone in the Chambara Formation of Peru. It is the type species of Triassicidaris.
