L. Hints 1975A genus closely allied to Fardenia, but differing in having simple cardinal process, markedly greater convexity of dorsal valve, and radii of nearly equal calibre. The last two characters would only necessitate specific separation from Fardenia scotica, but the first is taken as requiring generic recognition.
