Taxonomy
Thamnopora insculpta was named by Hill (1942). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Near Callytharra Springs (Teichert coll), which is in a Sakmarian marine mixed carbonate-siliciclastic in the Callytharra Formation of Australia.
