Taxonomy
Turritella pescaderoensis was named by Arnold (1908). Its type specimen is Leland Stanford Junior University 999 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was synonymized subjectively with Turritella chicoensis by Popenoe (1937); it was recombined as Turritella chicoensis pescaderoensis by Merriam (1941) and Elder and Saul (1993).
