Taxonomy
Rhombotrypella ninaeforme was named by Ernst and Gorgij (2013). Its type specimen is USB2218-41 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USB2218-41, Godar-e-Gachal section, which is in a Sakmarian carbonate limestone in the Chili Formation of Iran.
