Perforissidae was named by Shcherbakov (2007). It is not extant. Its type is Perforissus.
It was assigned to Fulgoroidea by Shcherbakov (2007), Szwedo et al. (2013), Zhang et al. (2017), Szwedo (2018) and Luo et al. (2020); to Fulgoromorpha by Bourgoin and Szwedo (2022); and to Eucixioidian by Bourgoin and Szwedo (2023).
