Taxonomy
Oriocrassatella compressa was named by Maxwell (1964). Its type specimen is UQ F42897 and is a mold. Its type locality is UQ L1935, Yarrol, which is in a Sakmarian marine siliciclastic in the Burnett Formation of Australia.
