Copaldictyna was named by Wunderlich (2004). Its type is Copaldictyna madagascariensis. It is the type genus of Copaldictyninae.

It was assigned to Titanoecidae by Dunlop et al. (2013); and to Copaldictynidae by Wunderlich (2020).
