Klipsteinia achelous

Taxonomy
Ammonites (Ceratites) achelous was named by Munster (1834). Its type specimen is BSPG AS VII 413 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St. Cassian (Munster coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy.

It was recombined as Ceratites achelous by Münster (1841); it was recombined as Klipsteinia achelous by von Mojsisovics (1882), Spath (1951) and Urlichs (2017).
