Aurornis xui
Taxonomy
Aurornis xui was named by Godefroit et al. (2013). Its type specimen is YFGP-T5198, a skeleton (Complete skeleton), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yaolugou locality, which is in a Bathonian/Kimmeridgian lacustrine siliciclastic in the Tiaojishan Formation of China. It is the type species of Aurornis.
