Taxonomy
Hildaites calamantis was named by Sassaroli and Venturi (2012). Its type specimen is MSA85 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Marconessa quarry section 3, sample 4b, which is in a Falciferum carbonate limestone in the Bugarone Formation of Italy.
