Jaxtasuchus salomoni
Taxonomy
Jaxtasuchus salomoni was named by Schoch and Sues (2014). Its type specimen is SMNS 91352A–C, a partial skeleton (mostly articulated skeleton lacking the skull and cervical vertebrae, recovered as several blocks), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vellberg-Eschenau, which is in a Longobardian estuary/bay claystone in the Erfurt Formation of Germany. It is the type species of Jaxtasuchus.
