Polycidaris regularis
Taxonomy
Cidaris regularis was named by Münster (1841). Its type specimen is BSPG AS VII 435 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St. Cassian (Munster coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy.
It was recombined as Hypodiadema regularis by Laube (1865); it was recombined as Polycidaris regularis by Kier (1977) and Kier (1984).
