Taxonomy
Euflemingites extremus was named by Smyshlyaeva and Zakharov (2013). Its type specimen is DVGI 31/840 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Artyom SMID quarry, southern Primorye, which is in a Smithian carbonate marl in the Zhitkov Formation of the Russian Federation.
