ReferenceDiagnosis
A. J. Boucot 1971The unique features of this genus are a combination of gently concavoconvex cross section, laterally elongate strophic outline, and a relatively smooth exterior associated with a laterally directed, narrow pair of cardinal process lobes 1 flanking a variĀ¬ ably developed ridgelike median septum in the brachial valve and a raised pedicle callist area in the posterior portion of the pedicle valve flanked by a pair of elongate, anterolaterally directed hinge-teeth.
