Taxonomy
Pseudoclaraia subwangi was named by Polubutko (2001). Its type specimen is PIN 4601/207 and is a mold. Its type locality is Dzhilga-Kul' Lake, Lower Kashkaechkinskaya Svita, which is in a Griesbachian marine horizon in the Kashkaechkinskaya Formation of Tajikistan.
It was recombined as Claraia subwangi by Fang et al. (2009).
