Taxonomy
Polypora triangulata was named by Lu (1958). Its type specimen is NIGP 8982 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southwest flank of Nankaofeng, Hangchow, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Qixia Formation of China.
